Milky Mist Dairy Food IPO Subscription Status Day 1: The initial public offering of Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd opened for subscription on August 11 and was subscribed 0.24 times as of 11:45 am on the opening day, according to the latest bidding data. Retail investors led demand among the categories that had opened bidding, subscribing their portion 0.37 times, while the employee quota stood at 0.84 times and non-institutional investors were subscribed 0.26 times. The qualified institutional buyers category had yet to see any bids as of the update.
The mainboard issue, listed on both the BSE and NSE, is priced in a band of ₹133-140 per share, with a lot size of 107 equity shares and in multiples thereof. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares worth up to ₹1,428 crore and an offer for sale of up to ₹125 crore. The minimum investment required for a retail application is to be updated. Under the reservation structure, not more than 50% of the offer is set aside for qualified institutional buyers, not less than 15% for non-institutional investors and not less than 35% for retail investors.
Ahead of the opening, Milky Mist Dairy Food raised ₹465.30 crore from anchor investors on August 10, allotting 3.32 crore equity shares at ₹140 apiece, the upper end of the price band. Zulia Investments Pte Ltd received the largest allocation among anchor investors, at 1.14 crore shares worth about ₹160 crore, representing 34.39% of the anchor portion. Other anchor investors included Nippon India Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Public Sector Pension Investment Board-IIFL Asset Management, India Acorn Fund and International Finance Corporation. Proceeds from the fresh issue are proposed to be used towards repayment or prepayment of borrowings, expansion and modernisation of the company's manufacturing facility at Perundurai, Tamil Nadu, strengthening its cold-chain infrastructure, setting up whey protein concentrate, yogurt and cream cheese plants, installing visi coolers, ice cream freezers and chocolate coolers, and for general corporate purposes.
The IPO will remain open for bidding through August 13.
