LEAP India Limited shares kicked off their stock market journey on a positive note on Friday. They opened at ₹166 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), giving investors a 4.40% listing gain.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock began trading at ₹165.90, 4.34% higher than the issue price. Note that analysts had predicted the LEAP India IPO listing price to be strong.

Following its listing, LEAP India’s market capitalisation reached around ₹7,312.91 crore.

LEAP India’s initial public offering (IPO) was a book-built issue of ₹2,480 crore, comprising a fresh issue of 3.02 crore shares worth ₹480 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 12.58 crore shares amounting to ₹2,000 crore. The price band was fixed at ₹151 to ₹159 per share. The mainboard IPO opened for public subscription on 7 August and closed on 11 August.

JM Financial, Avendus Capital, IIFL Capital Services and UBS Securities India acted as the book-running lead managers, while MUFG Intime India Private Ltd was appointed as the registrar to the issue.

During the bidding period, the IPO translated into an overall subscription of 6.71 times. The qualified institutional buyer (QIB) portion was subscribed 12.83 times, the highest among all investor categories.

This was followed by the non-institutional investor (NII) segment, which was subscribed 11.39 times. The retail portion received 1.20 times subscription while the employee quota was subscribed 8.96 times.

LEAP India provides technology-enabled supply chain and asset-pooling solutions, including pallets, containers and material-handling equipment for sectors such as FMCG, food and beverages, third-party logistics, e-commerce, quick commerce, automotive and industrials.
