Jio IPO Subscription Status Showing Retail, QIB and NII Investor Demand

Jio IPO subscription status is in focus on Monday, October 19, as Jio Platforms opens its anchor investor book ahead of the ₹30,213-crore public issue. Live public subscription has not started yet, with bidding for QIBs, NIIs, retail investors, Reliance Industries shareholders and employees set to open on October 21 and close on October 23.

The Reliance Industries digital and telecom arm is offering up to 27 crore fresh shares with no OFS. At ₹30,213 crore, the Jio IPO is set to become India's largest public issue, surpassing Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,858.75-crore IPO in 2024.

Jio IPO subscription status is in focus on Monday, October 19, as Jio Platforms opens its anchor investor book ahead of the ₹30,213-crore public issue. Live public bidding has not started yet. The IPO will open for subscription on Wednesday, October 21, and close on Friday, October 23.

October 19 is reserved for anchor investor bidding ahead of the three-day public subscription window

The IPO consists entirely of a fresh issue of up to 27 crore equity shares with a face value of ₹10 each. At the upper end of the price band, the offer is worth ₹30,213 crore. There is no OFS, so existing shareholders are not selling shares through the IPO.

The subscription book will be tracked across the main investor categories once public bidding begins on October 21. The issue will remain open for three days through October 23.

At up to ₹30,213 crore, the Jio IPO is set to establish a new record for the Indian primary market. The issue is larger than Hyundai Motor India's ₹27,858.75-crore IPO in 2024 and will bring one of Reliance Industries' biggest consumer businesses directly to the stock market.

The offer is also entirely a fresh issue, with Jio Platforms looking to raise new capital rather than provide an exit through an OFS. At the top of the ₹1,065–₹1,119 price band, the IPO is expected to value Jio Platforms at around $108 billion, putting the company among India's largest listed businesses after its market debut.
