Investors had placed bids for 2.11 crore shares against 93.99 lakh shares on offer by 11:30 am. The issue, which opened for subscription on September 16, has a price band of Rs 88-93 per share and will close on September 18.
Ahead of the public issue, Jindal Supreme India raised Rs 37.46 crore from anchor investors on September 15 through the allotment of 40.28 lakh shares.
The company makes mild steel black pipes, tubes, galvanised pipes, metal beam crash barriers and galvanised iron tubular poles. It plans to deploy Rs 71 crore from the fresh issue proceeds towards debt repayment, with the remaining funds earmarked for general corporate purposes.
