Klassroom debuted on the BSE SME platform with a 7% listing gain, signalling positive investor interest.

Fusion Klassroom Edutech made its BSE SME debut on August 7, with anchor investors and IPO allottees both seeing early gains as the stock opened above its issue price band.

Fusion Klassroom Edutech shares made a positive debut on the BSE SME platform on Friday, August 7. The stock opened at Rs 170 apiece, a 7 percent premium over its IPO price of Rs 159.

The listing gain came despite the Fusion Klassroom Edutech IPO having a grey market premium (GMP) of zero ahead of its debut.

The Rs 39.04 crore IPO comprised a fresh issue of 0.20 crore equity shares worth Rs 31.63 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 0.05 crore shares valued at Rs 7.41 crore.

Before the IPO opened for subscription, the company raised Rs 11.08 crore from anchor investors. A total of 6,96,800 equity shares were allotted to anchor investors at Rs 159 per share.

The IPO price band was set at Rs 151 to Rs 159 per share. The lot size was 800 shares, while retail investors had to apply for at least two lots, or 1,600 shares. At the upper end of the price band, the minimum investment stood at Rs 2,54,400.

Narnolia Financial Services Ltd. was the book-running lead manager for the issue. Maashitla Securities Pvt. Ltd. was the registrar, while Pune E-Stock Broking Ltd. was the market maker.

The compnay plans to use the fresh issue proceeds to repay or prepay certain borrowings and fund technology and AI and ML model development.

The company will also spend on servers and cloud infrastructure, content creation and the purchase of desktops and laptops for AI and ML laboratories at its new offline centres.

Part of the funds will be used for marketing, acquisitions and other general corporate purposes.

According to the company's Red Herring Prospectus, Fusion Klassroom Edutech runs a hybrid learning platform with 30 offline partner centres and an AI-powered education OTT application.

The platform offers more than 100 courses and has over 6 lakh registered users and more than 2 lakh subscribers. Its mobile application has been downloaded more than 1 lakh times.

Fusion Klassroom Edutech's revenue from operations increased from Rs 4.6 crore in FY24 to Rs 10.1 crore in FY25 and further to Rs 23 crore in FY26.

Its profit rose from Rs 34 lakh in FY24 to Rs 2.90 crore in FY25 and Rs 7.60 crore in FY26.
