Delhi-based iron and steel manufacturer Behari Lal Engineering is set to launch its initial public offering (IPO) on 12 August 2026. The company has fixed the price band at ₹271-285 per share and is seeking a market capitalisation of over ₹1,200 crore at the upper end of the price band.
The issue will close on 14 August, while the share allotment is expected to be finalised by 17 August.

Half of the IPO has been reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), while retail investors have been allocated 35%. The remaining 15% is reserved for non-institutional investors (NIIs). Investors can apply for a minimum of 52 shares and in multiples of 52 thereafter.
How Will Behari Lal Engineering Use The IPO Proceeds?
Behari Lal Engineering plans to use ₹63 crore from the net proceeds towards purchasing and installing new equipment and machinery, related civil works and rooftop solar panels at its two manufacturing facilities in Punjab.
Another ₹57 lakh is earmarked for loan repayment, with the balance intended for general corporate purposes.
What Does Behari Lal Engineering Do?
Behari Lal Engineering manufactures iron and steel products and provides customised engineering solutions. Its product portfolio includes metal rolls for rolling mills, engineering castings, forging ingots, and carbon, alloy steel and stainless steel bars. The company operates two manufacturing facilities.
For the year ended March 2026, the company’s revenue from operations rose 5.1% to ₹534 crore, compared with ₹507.9 crore a year earlier. Profit also grew 22% to ₹64.6 crore.
